To remove Quora from, Gmail, you will first need to unsubscribe to Quora’s mailing list. Then you will need to delink your Gmail email address from your Quora account and replace it with another email address or completely delete the Quora account linked to your Gmail account.
Step 1 – Unsubscribe From The Quora Mailing List
1 – Open any marketing email that you have received from Quora.
2 – Scroll to the very bottom of this email and click on the unsubscribe link. This will lead you to the email and notification settings page on Quora.com.
3 – On this page select “Off: Don’t send me these emails” and then click on the save preferences button.
Step 2 – Unsubscribe From The Quora Digest Mailing List
1 – Open any email that you have received from Quora Digest
2 – Scroll to the end of this email and click on the unsubscribe link. This will redirect you to the Quora digest settings.
3 – Select the option “Never Do not send the top stories on Quora for me” then click on the save preferences button.
Step 3 – Delete All Quora Emails From Gmail
1 – In the Gmail search bar type the word Quora.
2 – Check the checkbox at the very top left of the page to select all emails
3 – After all Quora, emails for that page have been selected click on the trash can icon in the top menu
4 – Repeat the previous step until you have removed all the emails that were sent to you by Quora
Step 4 – Delink Quora From Your Gmail Account
1 – Head on over to Quora.com
2 – log in to your account if you arent already logged in
3 – From the Quora dashboard click on your profile picture
4 – In the drop-down menu click settings’
5 – From the account settings page under the Connected Accounts & Contacts section click on disconnect.
6 – Click on the disconnect button when the disconnect popup appears. At this point, your Gmail account will be delinked from Quora but your Gmail email address will still be connected
Step 5 – Replace Your Gmail Email Address With Another Email Address (Optional)
If you would still like to receive emails from Quora but not to your Gmail account follow the following steps.
1 – While in the account settings in the email field click on add another email address.
2 – In the field provided enter a second email address then click on the add email button
3 – Assuming that you created the Quora account through the sign up with google shortcut click on the create an account password link.
4 – Return to your Gmail account and look for a password reset email sent by Quora and open the email
5 – Within the email click on the password reset link
6- On the password reset page enter a new password, confirm it, and then click on the reset password button.
7 – Now that you are signed up to Quora with a password return to the settings page and enter the email address that you would like to use then click on the add email button.
8 – Next enter your Quora password in the field provided and click on the done button.
9 – Check the inbox of the email address that you have just added and open the email from Quora. Within this email click on the verify email button.
10 – Now that your new email address is verified set it as the primary email address.
11 – Once your new email is set as the primary email click on the remove link next to the Gmail email address.
12 – In the remove email dialog box click on the remove button to completely remove Quora from your Gmail account.
Step 6 – Delete Your Quora Account (Optional)
If you would like to completely get rid of Quora and not just the emails sent to your Gmail account use the following steps.
1 – From your account settings page click on the privacy tab in the left menu
2 – Scroll down to the bottom of the page then click on delete account
3 – In the delete account pop up click the delete button to confirm that you want to delete your account
After doing this, Quora will be completely removed from your Gmail account.
