Step 1 – Enable Additional Star Colors
1 – Open your Gmail inbox.
2 – Click on the settings icon at the top-right corner of the page.
3 – In the dropdown menu, select “See all settings.”
4 – Scroll down to the “Stars” section in the “General” tab.
5 – You will notice a collection of stars in the “Not in use” section. Click, hold, and drag the desired five colored stars from this section to the “In use” section.
6 – Once you have arranged the stars to your preference, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Save Changes” button. You will be automatically redirected back to your Gmail inbox.
Step 2 – Assign Colored Stars to Emails
1 – Start from your Gmail inbox and locate the email that you wish to assign a star to.

- has:yellow-star: This query will show only emails with a yellow star.
- has:red-star: This query will display only emails with a red star.
- has:orange-star: Use this query to view emails with an orange star.
- has:green-star: This query will show only emails with a green star.
- has:blue-star: Use this query to display emails with a blue star.
- has:purple-star: This query will show only emails with a purple star.
